For European Union / EEA visitors (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at info@caldenne.com, we respond within 30 days as required by Article 12 of the GDPR.

Australian Privacy Principles (APP) Compliance

Caldenne complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APP), overseen by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, if a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will:

  • notify the OAIC as soon as practicable;
  • notify affected individuals with details of the breach and what we are doing about it;
  • keep breach records for at least 24 months.

If you believe Caldenne has breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can raise it with us first at info@caldenne.com, or directly with the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au.

Personalised Advertising

We use third-party advertising platforms, mainly Google Ads and Meta/Facebook, to show you ads based on your browsing behaviour on our website. These platforms use cookies and tracking pixels to understand visitor interests.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

  • Google Ads: adssettings.google.com
  • Meta/Facebook: Settings, then Ads Preferences, in your Facebook account
  • Browser level: enable "Do Not Track" or use an ad-blocking extension
  • Cookie preferences: adjust through your browser settings

Opting out does not stop ads altogether, it just means they will not be tailored to your interests. We do not sell personal data to advertising platforms.

Data Retention Period

We keep your personal data only as long as needed, and as required by Australian law:

  • Order and transaction data: 7 years, as required by Australian Taxation Office (ATO) record-keeping rules
  • Account and profile data: for as long as your account is active, plus 3 years after closure
  • Marketing and analytics data: until you unsubscribe, plus 12 months for opt-out compliance
  • Customer service correspondence: 2 years from last contact
  • Data breach records: at least 24 months

After that, your data is securely deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete it sooner by emailing info@caldenne.com, unless we are legally required to keep it (for example, active tax records).

Security and Storage

Your personal information is stored and handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and industry best practice. While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We regularly review our systems to protect against unauthorised access.
